Joe - You are the GREATEST! To have the house completely unaffected by an historic rainfall and flood is the best. I know you really put a lot of thought and effort to this result and it worked brilliantly. It was a lucky day when Joan and I met you in Pound Ridge two years ago. Don't say goodbye - we expect to see you in the future - plus Jason and Jackie. We have really enjoyed working with and knowing you and your family. I think this is an unusual outcome of a construction project, with all the potenial for problems and misunderstandings. We know of two projects in the neighborhood which have been endless catastrophes for the owners, because of problems with their contractors. Joan and I say to ourselves - we were really lucky that Joe built our house. We go from room to room when we are there enjoying ourselves in each place.
Best,
Fred Lowenfels
Well, we just put the kids to bed, had a bite to eat and are hanging out... The place is starting to feel like home... A really amazing, warm, beautiful, bright home. We couldn't have planned, built or designed anything better in our wildest dreams. Thank you all for your hard work, dedication, understanding (it happens) and good humor. We love our home!

Dear Joe,
George and I want to thank you for all the work, care and concern you have given our home. We were there today and were even more aware of how it is all coming together. You have skilled workmen and subcontractors and it shows. We are so pleased and grateful.

Dear Joe,
I went up to Beford when I was East last week, Joe, the Lewis job looks great and it looks better every time I see it. I was examining your stucco work again and was thinking of how great it looks. I realized that I never told you how much I appreciated not only the extra time and effort it took you to do it, but also your willingness to research and experiment to get the right effect. I know this was not an easy job. The budget was tight, you pared your margins down, and there were the usual unanticipated problems. Then there was me, the pesky architect always asking for something different. But you made it all work, all the while protecting Mr. and Mrs. Lewis' from unnecessary worry. And, I think you received the ultimate accolade I have ever heard bestowed on a contractor: Diane said the only stressful part of the project was picking out the light fixtures. So, not only did you make this project an enjoyable process, but you made it look easy. In the Olympics, its the kind of performance that gets the gold medal. Since I am fresh out of medals, I will simply say thanks to you, to Jason and the whole crew at Aphrodite. I hope that we have the opportunity to work together again.
Regards,
W. Brier Tomlinson, AIA
Dear Joe,
I am writing to express my sincere thanks for the terrific job you have done on our last three projects. The Alvino, Arons and Goodhue homes were well crafted and in particular, great care was given to the construction of important architectural detailing. As usual the quality of your workmanship is apparent and a reflection of your hands-on family oriented philosophy. As architects we appreciate your respect and care in the implantation of designs. Your firm will certianly be on our Bidders list in the future and I look forward to working with you again.
Sincerely,
John P. Sullivian, AIA
Dear Joe,
It has been great working with you on the Rella project. Your workmanship and our attention to our client has been exemplary. The Rella's are very happy with their new home and you have helped make my job easier. I look forward to working with you on the Duckstein project in the spring.
Sincerely,
Nima Badaly, AIA
Dear Joe,
Thank you very much for the excellent job you are performing at my house on Cross Pond Road. The quality of your work is outstanding and the house looks excellent. In addition, you have given me very good architectural and decoration suggestions. I have never dealt with a better contractor and I hope we will continue to work together in the future. I would recommend you without any reservations to my friends.
Sincerely yours,
Michail Safir, M.D.
